Frances Hinkle, MSN, APRN, FNP-C
Frances Hinkle is a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner who recently joined our practice. Ms. Hinkle completed a Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences from James Madison University and obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Nursing magna cum laude from Virginia Commonwealth University. Most recently she received her Master’s of Science in Nursing degree from the University of San Diego.
Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner, Frances worked as a Maternal-Newborn and Women’s Health nurse at VCU Health Teaching Hospital in Richmond, Virginia. Throughout her nurse practitioner training, Frances expanded her skillset to care for patients of all ages through rotations in family practice, reproductive health and internal medicine. Each experience was filled with unique and interesting learning opportunities, but she ultimately found the most fulfillment when managing women’s health issues.
Frances is passionate about all aspects of well-woman care and has a particular interest in working with adolescents, assisting them with issues related to safe sex practices, sexually transmitted infections, and contraception. She also has experience working with pregnant and postpartum women and enjoys providing evidence based patient education.
Frances is excited to work with the San Diego Women’s Health team and is currently accepting new patients.
