What’s new at San Diego Women’s Health

Dr. Mel is pleased to announce the incorporation of novel laser services and providing these services to patients. The Laser therapies initially being offered include, the MonaLisa Touch for women’s vaginal/vulvar health and SculpSure® that helps to reduce stubborn fat in certain body areas.

What is SculpSure®

SculpSure® is a laser procedure that has been approved by the FDA for the fat reduction (lipolysis) of the abdomen, flanks, back, thighs and submental area. It is intended to help reduce stubborn fat in these areas. SculpSure® is a body contouring/sculpting treatment, not a weight loss program. It is recommended to have at least 2 treatments, 6 weeks apart on each area requiring fat reduction. We recommend that patients consider a 12 week “LifeStyle Program” for the duration of the SculpSure treatments. This includes a healthy diet, moderate exercise and SculpSure “treat to complete” contouring program, based on the patient’s body type and BMI. At the initial complimentary consultation, we will provide our patients with several options for the “LifeStyle Program”.
